Electrical installations like this main distribution board need regular condition inspections
We found signs of burning on one of the main distribution boards during our five-year EICR inspection.
We recently completed a five-year Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) for a three-floor office building.

The building was completely remodelled five years ago and is maintained to a high standard. Any electrical issues are reported to us immediately by the facilities team.

We made our inspection visit to the site at the weekend to minimise disruption while we powered everything down.
Many offices have overloaded electrical sockets
We often visit offices where computers, printers, screens, scanners, lamps, smartphones and other chargers are all plugged in to overloaded sockets and boards. In time this can lead to overheating and damage.

If you’re working with overloaded electrical circuits you could risk electrocution or a fire.

You might not be able to increase the number of electrical outlets in your office, but here are some ideas to help reduce the risks.
